The Farm at Rocky Top is a wedding and event venue, located in Salem, Alabama, situated on 339 acres of rolling pastureland and woodlands, just minutes from Auburn/Opelika. 

THE BARN

Constructed of rough cut pine, this 7000 square foot barn provides a wonderful venue for weddings or events.  The barn can comfortably seat 200 guests and has a maximum capacity of 300.  It has a warming kitchen, a 14 foot custom built bar with a beverage cooler and wine cooler, and 2- three stall restrooms with handicap accessibility. 

 

Fourteen sets of barn doors surround the all sides of the barn, which when open, provide you with a view of the ceremony site, green pastures, hayfields and a pond.  The upstairs loft provides a wonderful lounge area for your guests to mix and mingle or for the Bride and Groom to have their first meal together as husband and wife.

Three large sliding doors lead from the back of the barn onto the back porch. This 700 square feet of space has four ceiling fans and could be used for extra table seating or just for your guest to mingle.

The ceremony site is directly behind the barn. The custom built altar allows for plenty of room for the wedding party to stand.  White washed chapel windows can be hung from the altar “walls” if so desired. The ceremony site is surrounded by hayfields, pastureland and a pond. 

All of the light fixtures in the barn are on dimmer switches which will allow for the perfect ambiance for your event. But when the dancing starts we have remote controlled multi-colored party lights on each of the horizontal beams, columns and picture window that help get the party started.

THE MEATHOUSE

Built in the late 1970’s, the Meat House offers a unique setting for the groom and his attendants to get ready in and can also be rented (additional fee) as a rehearsal dinner venue.  It has a kitchen, two bathrooms, a sitting area with a large flat screen TV and can seat up to 62 people.

THE FARMHOUSE

The FarmHouse is the designated area for the Bride and her attendants to get ready . It has plenty of room with access to two bedrooms, a den, a kitchen, a full bath and bridal room.  The Bridal room has three makeup vanities, a “Dress Closet”, powder room and large stand up mirror.

OUR PACKAGES

Wedding + Reception | $5,000

  • Use of the Barn on the day before the event from 10am to 7pm for decorating and rehearsal time.

  • Use of the Barn on the day of the event from 10am to 10pm. Reception will end at 10pm and all personal effects will be removed from the Barn one hour after the end of reception.

  • Use of the Meat House on the day of the event, starting at 8 am, for the gentlemen to get ready in and/or refreshments for the Bridal party. All personal effects will be removed from the Meat House one hour after the end of reception.

  • Use of the Farm House on the day of the event, starting at 8am, for the ladies to get ready. All personal effects will be removed from Farmhouse one hour after the end of reception.

  • Use of Pavilion as the designated smoking/vaping area

  • Use of Farm for Engagement, Save the Date and Bridal photos.

  • 25- 60” round tables

  • 4-8ft rectangular tables

  • 200 Reception chairs

  • 200 white ceremony chairs

  • Set up/take down of tables and chairs for reception

  • Basic clean up of facilities before and after event

  • Parking attendants

  • Host Staff for bathroom checks, trash removal and general support

  • Use of designated props/decorations 

  • Use of antique truck for photos/decorations/send-off (if available)

  • Use of a built-in bar with Beverage cooler and wine cooler. Bartender(s) are required if serving alcohol and must be rented through Rocky Top for an additional charge.

Reception Only | $3,500

  • Use of the Barn on the day of the event from 8am to 10pm. Reception will end at 10pm and all personal effects will be removed from the Barn one hour after the end of reception.

  • Use of Pavilion for designated smoking/vaping areas

  • Use of Farm for Engagement, Save the Date and Bridal photos
